Message From MIMLS President
Dear esteemed colleagues, distinguished delegates, honoured guests, and valued partners,
It is with immense pride, profound honour, and great anticipation that I extend my warmest invitation to the 19th ASEAN Conference of Clinical Laboratory Sciences (ACCLS), held in conjunction with the 35th National Scientific Conference (NSC) of the Malaysian Institute of Medical Laboratory Sciences (MIMLS), scheduled to take place from 29th to 31st July 2026 at The Waterfront Hotel, Kuching, Sarawak.
This distinguished gathering is a premier regional platform where leading scientists, researchers, clinicians, academicians, healthcare professionals, and industry experts converge to exchange transformative ideas, foster strategic collaborations, and shape the future of laboratory medicine and healthcare innovation across ASEAN and beyond.
The 2026 conference proudly features the theme: “The Future Proof Lab: Harnessing AI and Sustainable Technology for Global Health.” This timely and visionary theme reflects our collective commitment to advancing resilient, intelligent, and sustainable healthcare systems that can address the evolving challenges of modern medicine. As we navigate an era shaped by artificial intelligence, precision diagnostics, digital health transformation, and emerging global health threats, the role of medical laboratory science has never been more critical.
Participants can look forward to an intellectually enriching programme featuring internationally renowned keynote speakers, high-impact scientific presentations, cutting-edge research innovations, industry exhibitions, and interdisciplinary discussions spanning molecular diagnostics, clinical microbiology, genomics, proteomics, digital pathology, sustainable laboratory practices, and AI-driven healthcare solutions.
We are especially privileged to welcome and acknowledge the leadership of Ts. Abdul Razak Khalid, whose unwavering dedication, visionary guidance, and exceptional contributions have been instrumental in elevating the standards of medical laboratory science and strengthening regional scientific collaboration. His steadfast commitment continues to inspire excellence and progress within our professional community.
Beyond scientific discourse, ACCLS 2026 will serve as a catalyst for regional unity, academic excellence, and professional advancement. The conference offers an invaluable opportunity to establish meaningful collaborations, cultivate international networks, and inspire the next generation of scientific leaders committed to improving global health outcomes.
On behalf of the organising committee, I warmly invite you to join us in the vibrant city of Kuching, Sarawak — a destination rich in culture, hospitality, and natural beauty — for what promises to be an extraordinary and memorable scientific congress.
Together, let us redefine the future of laboratory medicine through innovation, sustainability, and collaborative excellence.
We look forward to welcoming you to ACCLS 2026.
Thank you.
